WHAT: Join us for a live interactive webinar featuring three young innovators and entrepreneurs from Duke and NC State. Learn about their innovation journeys, including how they prepared during their college years for the work they do now. The session will be hosted and moderated by District C, with help from District C alumni and high school students Madison Lopert, Anthony Luzzi, and Peter Lacewell. Audience members can submit questions through chat.
KHUSHBU MADHIWALA is a recent graduate of NC State and the founder of Sudsy. Sudsy has developed a process for dehydrating soaps, shampoos, and face-washes so that these products can be transported in tablet form without the risk of leaking in your luggage. Khushbu was selected as a Miller’s Fellow at NC State, giving her the funding needed to pursue Sudsy full-time after graduating last May.
HARSHVARDHAN SANGHI is a junior at Duke University and a co-founder of mPower, a social enterprise aimed at easing food supply issues in India. mPower won the Hult Prize, a global competition for social entrepreneurs. Harshvardhan is part of the Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship program at Duke.
MICHAEL PICCOLA graduated from NC State this past spring after majoring in entrepreneurship. He was a student in NC State’s award-winning Entrepreneurship Clinic where he worked with a team of peers to solve a real problem for a real business (sound familiar?!).
